How does one define Canadian Cuisine? In a young country such as ours, built upon the merging of cultures, this becomes a difficult question to answer. To Erik, Canadian Cuisine is best described as the convergence of local food producers, farmers and artisans; using the land and waterways to cultivate products that represent them. He prides himself on using food from local farmers and producers from across the region, and across the country. From his current home near Vancouver to his homeland in Nova Scotia, each coast has an abundance of products to offer from both land and sea, so long as they are treated with respect.
Keep it local.
Keep it sustainable.
“We had the most incredible plant-based dinner catered by Erik! The food was just absolutely delicious–every dish was so beautifully presented, and so flavourful. Erik was attentive, served every course on time, and paid attention to every detail. His dinner made our evening very enjoyable. I highly recommend him!”
“I was so lucky to be referred to Erik as I was planning my 10 year anniversary dinner on Bowen Island. I had nothing but a positive experience. Erik not only came up with an amazing five course menu based on our preferences, but made it all fresh for us right there at the beach! He was extremely accommodating with all my requests, responsive to all my inquiries, and I could tell he genuinely cared to make this event special for us. Erik completely wowed us with his sophisticated, tasty and very skillfully prepared food. Thank you Erik for all the thought and attention you put into our special day and for curating this amazing and memorable experience for us.”
